Water Wombats is a registered allied health charity dedicated to empowering families through innovative aquatic therapy and inclusive learn-to-swim programs. Beyond the water, we offer a holistic suite of wellness-based services—including drama therapy, counselling, and Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT) —designed to support the wellbeing of the whole family. At Water Wombats, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, confident, and capable—whether they’re in the water or navigating the world around them. Founded in Canberra by social worker and mum of three, Carol Jennings, Water Wombats was born from a deeply personal journey. After her eldest son was diagnosed with autism, Carol began to explore the unique challenges neurodiverse children face—especially when it comes to water safety.
