Music in the regions is a newly formed, independent touring organisation connecting classical musicians with regional audiences across New South Wales. From cellos in Temora, flutes in Forbes and marimbas in Murwillumbah, Music in the Regions will create greater opportunities for regional audiences to tap into rich cultural experiences close to home and also facilitate unique performance opportunities for emerging and established classical musicians and chamber orchestras. These musicians will perform in regions not traditionally visited, reinvigorating regional venues into concert venues, and fostering a vibrant, world-class New South Wales classical music industry.
