About
On Saturday 6 February the New Zealander community welcomes everyone to celebrate Waitangi Day, New Zealand’s national day at Queanbeyan Park.
Not only will the park be dotted with colourful picnic rugs, inflatable lounges and plenty of jandal-clad families but traditional food and dance as well.
So come along and celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi as well as the rich cultural traditions. Don’t miss the Maori performances, community karaoke and traditional dance from Polynesian youth dance troupe.
Families are welcome to bring their own blanket, chair and chilly-bin and stay all day.
